The 2.4l 170hp World Engine (gasoline) boasts a unique combination of fine workmanship, fuel efficiency, power, smooth operation and low noise level. The superb roadability inherent in all Jeep vehicles is also typical of the Compass version with its road clearance of 200 mm, approach angle of 21°, departure angle of 32°, wheelbase ramp angle of 20° and fordability of 279 mm. The symmetrical AWD system enables Jeep Compass to be steadily driven in any road conditions. Both standard and locking AWD modes involve the operation of such active safety systems as ASR, ESP, EBA, ARM and ABS.
